Priorities

Since we are at the beginning of the year with many new engagements and weddings in the works, I thought I would give a couple tips that will help get you started. These are things I always ask couples, whether they are newly engaged or just weeks away from the big day.

  • What are your priorities? What are the priorities of those paying?
It is very important to decide as a couple, then a family, what is most important.
  • What are you willing to give up to get those priorities?
Are you willing to give up the dream location to get married on a specific day or have a photographer that you just can't imagine not taking your pictures?
  • Who is helping with the planning? Who thinks they are helping with the planning?
If any parents are paying for the wedding they, by default, have some say in how the money is spent. I feel it is very important to establish who makes the final call, and that each person involved with planning, or not involved, knows their roll as soon as possible.
These are just some quick tips to get you started. If you are newly engaged and don't have anything planned yet, check out our event next month, www.SalemDreamWedding.info This event will be a great resource for planning tips and help, as well as, a chance to win free services and products.
