Since I am going to be out of town on vacation with my family this Monday, I decided to do the project early. I picked this project because I have always wanted to make one of these, and I already had everything I needed in my stash. One reason I really liked this project is that, I never messed up! It seems that my first time through projects I usually find some way to make a mistake, with this project, other than glue on my fingers, I did it right all the way through. Here is the link to Martha's website.
http://www.marthastewartweddings.com/photogallery/place-seating-card-templates They actually give you pdf templates of ribbon if you want to print it instead of buy the ribbon. I had a bunch left over from a wedding last month so I decided to use that.
I started with these supplies. Instead of buying a board I used the bottom of a box I got from Costco yesterday.
I wrapped the board in a white fabric since the colors of the wedding were black, white and pink
I laid out my pattern and cut the ribbon to length
I hot glued the ribbon on the back, if I had used a piece of wood, I would have used a staple gun instead,
Since I don't have any place cards to test it out, I used a photo strip of my family. Which is a good example of how you can use the ribbon board in your home after the wedding.
