Kaitlyn and David |
Yesterday I had the joy and honor of coordinating a wedding for Kaitlyn and David at Deepwood Estates in Salem. Kaitlyn and I met last fall at the October Oregon Wedding Showcase. Kaitlyn came to me with wonderful ideas and vision, she just wanted me to help her bring it all together and really help with the details of planning. I enjoyed every meeting we had and really looked forward to this day.
I arrived at 12:30 pm with my first helper and started right way with tables and linens, my second helper came at 1:30 and she began ironing table clothes and setting out chairs. Then to my joy and surprise the florist showed up with a girl I have known since she was a freshman in high school. The blessing was that she ended up staying until the very end of clean up. Not only did she help me, but she helped the cake lady and the caterer. She was a blessing to everyone and I don't think Kaitlyn will ever know how key she was in all the behind the scene details of the day. We honestly didn't have a thing go wrong, everything went as according to plan, we even ended up finishing clean up over a half hour before scheduled. Every vendor was professional and pitched in where needed. The caterer was OSU catering and when they finished their clean up two of the guys stayed and stacked all the chairs for me, what a team we all were. Kaitlyn did a wonderful job picking out who she surrounded herself with. It felt like we had all worked together before, yet we had never met until that day. I will post some of the professional pictures once they come in, but in the mean time, here a couple of photos Mary snapped for me before she left.
